Meet Marion. Our newest OneWellness Clubs Pilates instructor.

What are the mind and body benefits to joining a Pilates class?

Life can get super busy and we sometimes can become very outward looking. Pilates helps us to connect better with our bodies, to relax, feel calmer and more in control. Our bodies become stronger, we feel less stressed and feel more energised and balanced. Joseph Pilates called his method ‘controlology’

What is your expert advice for new Pilates beginners?

My favourite self care ritual is getting out into nature, a long soak in the bath. But my all time favourite has got to be a deep tissue massage!

What is your favourite self care ritual?

My advice to Pilates beginners is to take your time, put in some daily practice with the basics. This will enable your body to gradually adapt and enable you to ultimately achieve the mind body connection. Once you feel that, you will never look back. It’s amazing!  However, everyone is different and will achieve that in a different way. For example, if you sit at a desk all day, the muscles in the backs of your legs and front of hips will be tight. It will take time to adapt. It’s like when you learn to drive, at first it feels strange but eventually we feel at one with the car so we don’t think about it, we just do it.

Don’t worry I am there to help you achieve full potential.

Meet Jess. Our newest OneWellness Clubs Yoga instructor.

OneWellness Clubs is excited to welcome Jess to our team and bring to you even more yoga!

Jess will be teaching on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 7pm so the perfect time for a little ‘you’ time at the end of the day.

Here is a little about Jess in her own words:

‘Hello! My name is Jess and I am a Y.A.I Yoga Teacher based in Harrogate.

For many years, Yoga has been a huge part of my life and it is now my passion to share the Yogi magic with as many people as I can, spreading those positive vibes! In my spare time, I love to go to fitness classes, go on long walks in nature, see friends and find a spot for a good cup of tea coffee/tea!

My favourite hobbies include finding and cooking delicious nutritious meals and meditating and my best wellbeing hack is FRESH JUICE! I love making fresh juice to boost the immune system and clear the mind. I look forward to meeting you all and guiding you towards a strong mind and body!’.
